About

I'm Tejas Gawande. I'm building Chronicle, an AI-native presentation tool — think Cursor for slides. We're backed by Accel.

The idea started at IIT Bombay, where I noticed the same thing everyone notices but few act on: presentations are where ideas go to die. Beautiful thinking gets flattened into bullet points. Nuance gets lost to templates. I wanted to build the tool that lets ideas keep their shape.

At Chronicle, I lead go-to-market and growth. We've grown through a PLG-first motion — product-led acquisition, reverse trials, and an influencer engine that turns creators into evangelists. We were the #4 Product of the Year on Product Hunt, and we're now building the enterprise flywheel alongside PLG.

Before all of this, I was just someone who cared too much about how things look and how stories land. That hasn't changed.

What I Believe

Taste is leverage. In a world drowning in AI-generated everything, the ability to discern what's actually good compounds faster than any technical skill.

Distribution beats product. The best product rarely wins. The best-distributed product usually does. Build something great, then make it impossible to ignore.

Ship, then steer. You learn more from one week of real users than a month of internal debate. Velocity is a feature.

Do hard things on purpose. Run farther than you think you can. Raise harder than feels comfortable. The misogi mindset — one defining challenge per year — reshapes your sense of what's possible.
